CUT GNSS Station ASGA Joins the European Permanent GNSS Network (EPN)

The GNSS station ASGA00CYP, operated by the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) and the Laboratory of Geodesy (Celestia Lab), has officially been integrated into the European Permanent GNSS Network (EPN).

This milestone marks the first Cyprus-owned and operated GNSS station to become part of the EPN, a key European infrastructure supporting high-precision geodetic monitoring and Earth observation.

Through its inclusion in the EPN, station ASGA will contribute high-quality continuous GNSS data, enhancing the monitoring of ground deformation across Europe and supporting a wide range of applications in geoscience research, geodynamics, and positioning services.

This achievement reflects the ongoing commitment of CUT and the Laboratory of Geodesy to advancing geodetic infrastructure in Cyprus and strengthening the country’s contribution to the European geospatial and scientific community.

The integration of ASGA into the EPN represents a significant step forward for Cyprus in the field of geodesy and Earth observation.
