Two of the possible locations for the installation of GPS/GNSS stations of the CyCLOPS network are within the region of Nicosia District. The first area of interest is located in Mathiatis community. Mathiatis is approximate in the center of Cyprus, with an elevation of 365 meters above Mean Sea Level.  On the 29th of May 2020, the CyCLOPS team carried out 24h in-situ measurements to assess the suitability of another candidate network’s location. The second area is located in Alevga community. Alevga is situated in Tilliria Peninsula. On the 18th of June 2020,  24h in-situ measurements for the assessment of the suitability and accessibility of the area were carried out. GNSS equipment has been temporarily installed in a rocky area to account for stability and safety issues. In all cases, the equipment was installed in a carefully selected location to mitigate potential multipath effects. Data acquisition was carried out using a Trimble® R9s receiver equipped with a Zephyr 3 Geodetic antenna.
