Education: Mrs. Kyriaki Fotiou is a Research Associate in Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics in Cyprus University of Technology and member of the CUT Laboratory of Geodesy and Hydrographic Surveying team. She holds a BSc Degree in Survey Engineering and Geomatics from the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) and a MSc Degree, with

distinction, in Geoinformation and Geospatial Technologies from Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), as well. She is currently doing her PhD in the field of SAR Satellite Data in Deformation Monitoring Applications at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), under the supervision of Dr.Chris Danezis.

 

Professional Background: Mrs. Fotiou has been a Research Associate in the Planning Department, at Electricity Authority of Cyprus, being responsible in collecting, processing, and updating data in ArcGIS environment. Moreover, she has worked as a trainee Surveyor at the Department of Lands and Surveys of Cyprus with responsibilities in updating cadastral plans, investigating, and resolving cadastral cases and differences. Previously, she had worked as a Trainee GIS Analyst in ArcGIS Platform at Marathon Data Systems, in Greece. Amongst others, Mrs. Fotiou is a member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK).

Research: Her research mainly focused on Remote Sensing (SAR Satellite image processing), SAR Interferometry, Geodesy and GIS Applications.
