Assistant Professor Chris Danezis was invited as a keynote speaker at the ICONHIC 2022 which took place on the 5th-7th of July 2022 in Athens, Greece. During the conference he gave an oral presentation entitled “Building a Permanent Strategic Earth Observation Infrastructure to Monitor Geohazards in Cyprus: The case of CyCLOPS” on the 07th of July 2021 (special session “Computer Vision and Cognitive decision making for Infrastructure Resilience”. During the conference, he had the opportunity to promote CyCLOPS infrastructure and discuss with stakeholders and scientists. He highlighted the importance and benefit for Cyprus from establishing a strategic infrastructure unit for natural hazards funded under the CyCLOPS Project, as well as the implementation of the project.
