Arrival of InSAR Corner Reflectors at CUT
Totally 12 corner reflectors have arrived and storaged by CyCLOPS team at the warehouses of the Department of Civil Engineers and Geomatics of CUT. After a strict inspection of damages in each of the triangular trihedral corner reflectors, one by one were cautionary placed in the facilities of the Department. The corner reflectors undergoing a field performance evaluation at various test sites all over Cyprus prior to being deployed permanently in six (6) areas of research interest through the CyCLOPS project. The geospatial component of CyCLOPS will enable the precise measurement of changes in ground deformation with the corner reflectors supporting studies that use the satellite monitoring technique, synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR).
